The last five days I was guiding a group of six french kayakers along the south-east coast of Sicily, about 70 km from Siracuse to Portopalo. The paddled distance each day was short but it was a good general test thanks to the continuous head wind and moderately rough sea that we had. Also good the test of the kayak that was full of equipment and food.

Gli ultimi cinque giorni ho guidato un gruppo di sei kayaker francesi lungo la costa sud-est della Sicilia, per circa 70 km da Siracusa a Portopalo. La distanza percorsa giornalmente è stata breve ma è stato un buon test generale grazie al continuo vento di prua e al mare moderatamente mosso che abbiamo avuto. Altrettanto buono il test del kayak che era pieno di equipaggiamento e cibarie.

the happy kayakers from france have a very good remembering of their good guide : patience, and pedagogy, smile and good coffe.
we enjoyed our sleep on the beach and the surf on the "moderato" rough sea.
I wanted to have sun and hot time, but it's the wildlife's rules !!!!
