Kayak Rescue

A new sponsor has joined to the adventure of Around Highlands: Kayak Rescue!
The fledging firm specialized in restructuring fiberglass kayaks has kindly offered to support our trip to Scotland!
Who has dedicated the past years the exciting activities of sea kayaking well-knows the difficulties in carrying out "in private" the necessary maintenance work of the hull, possibly working with glues and solvents in the dusty garage at home, where the humidity can make vain our efforts!
From now on we can entrust our beloved kayak to the loving care of Andrea to replace the round bow hatch with an oval one, more convenient for storing large dry bags, or to restore the deck because the too long use has turned the initial brite white into a mat gray, or to adapt a longer hose to the pump bilge to finally capture the water from the lowest point of the cockpit: behind the seat!

Un nuovo sponsor si è unito all’avventura di Around Highlands: Kayak Rescue!
La neonata ditta specializzata nella ristrutturazione di kayak in vetroresina si è gentilmente offerta di sostenere il nostro viaggio in Scozia!
Chi si dedica da anni alla appassionante attività del kayak da mare ben conosce le difficoltà di effettuare “in privato” gli indispensabili lavori di manutenzione dello scafo, magari lavorando con colle e solventi nel polveroso garage di casa, dove l’umidità può rendere vani tutti i nostri sforzi!
D’ora in avanti potremo affidare il nostro amato kayak alle amorevoli cure di Andrea per sostituire il tappo tondo di prua con uno ovale più comodo per lo stivaggio, oppure per restaurare il ponte da troppo tempo vessato dagli agenti atmosferici tanto che il bianco iniziale si è inesorabilmente tramutato in un grigio spento, o ancora per adattare un tubo più lungo alla pompa di sentina ed arrivare a pescare l’acqua finalmente nel punto più basso del pozzetto: dietro il seggiolino!
